HomeTown Burger
About This Spot
Stepping into HomeTown Burger feels like slipping into a quiet corner of Olivehurst where time slows just enough to savor the simple pleasures. This unassuming spot along Olivehurst Avenue hums with the gentle rhythm of familiar footsteps and easy conversations, inviting you to settle into a moment that’s both familiar and quietly special. The pace here is unhurried, a welcome respite from the rush, where the comfort lies as much in the atmosphere as in the food.
Inside, you’ll find a relaxed neighborhood eatery where the air carries the irresistible warmth of sizzling grills and the subtle hint of freshly fried onion rings. The welcoming presence of staff who know many by name adds a layer of kindness that feels like coming home. It’s the kind of place where community threads quietly stitch together over shared meals and local stories, where the gravel parking lot out front hints at years of loyal visitors and ongoing neighborhood tales.
The menu feels rooted in classic American flavors, but it’s more than just food—it’s a familiar embrace on a plate. Think juicy burgers piled with melty cheese and crisp pickles, hand-cut fries with that perfect balance of crunch and fluff, and shakes that bring a nostalgic sweetness with every sip. Whether you’re diving into a hearty double cheeseburger or savoring the lightness of a veggie burger, each bite feels like a pause to appreciate something honest and thoughtfully made.
HomeTown Burger holds a quiet pride in its modest charm — a humble gathering place where the small moments matter. From the neatly stacked onion rings to the friendly nod from behind the counter, this is a spot shaped by community, comfort, and the kind of reliable goodness you’ll want to return to whenever the day calls for a little familiar warmth.

If I know I’m going to be in the area I will always make a point to stop in for lunch. The fireman special is my go to but everything I’ve tried has been good. The fries are great and the owner is always nice.

In tiny Olivehurst, where quiet streets hum And the breeze smells faintly of fries and sun, There stands a shack — Hometown Burger, plain, A relic that’s weathered years of change. Ownership’s swapped hands a time or two, Yet that faded sign still welcomes you. Locals line up where the gravel meets gray, For onion rings stacked in a golden display. The burger? A tower — bold, not neat, Cheese melting over bacon’s heat. Crunchy rings wedged between the buns, Grease that whispers, “You’ve already won.” It’s average, sure — no fancy flair, But comfort’s found in the fryer’s air. A hometown taste, both humble and kind, A four-star meal for peace of mind.

Honestly I dont have anything bad to say about this place. The burgers, fries, and chili cheese jumbo dog were absolutely wonderful. The burgers were nice and juicy. Although the chili was on the sweeter side it was absolutely delicious. The service was quick, easy, and very friendly. You can't go wrong with their prices with how expensive everything is nowadays. 10/10 I personally recommend. Also if you love milkshakes they make some great ones!

Im thinking the ones who have nothing but bad to say just might have issues unrelated to the business. The people could not ha e been nicer. The food was good. There were 2 cars in the Parkinson the whole time I was there one left another arrived so they must be doing some thi g right.

Definitely a little hole in the wall that you can easily miss/pass by. Burgers are absolutely delicious and the fries are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside--perfect! We also got onion rings that were freshly beer battered and fried, you can still taste the beer in the batter absolutely delicious and if they weren't 150 miles away from home, I'd be coming more often! I'll definitely be back whenever I pass through this town!

Their Banana split is so good, it’s a must try if you visit. Their veggie burger is also good, and curly fries (seasoning fries) taste so good. Worth the money and time, happy customer

With the detours around Marysville we thought of going off freeway. Found this local gem. Double cheeseburger with hot thick fries and a vanilla milkshake. It was more than I could finish. Will stop by again and try something not so big.
